Lillie (Lewis) Edwards passed on December 20, 2020. She was born on August 19, 1931. The oldest child of Gill and Ollie Lewis, she grew up surrounded by her large family in Clay County, Kentucky. As an adult, she relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio, eventually settling in the suburb of Day Heights, Milford, Ohio, where she lived for more than 50 years. She was known for her beautiful flower beds and her delicious home cooking. She enjoyed visiting with her family, especially the little ones. They could always count on a chocolatey treat from their Mami.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ivan Edwards, her parents, sisters Sophie and Minnie, and her infant daughter, Janie.
She leaves behind three loving daughters: Danna (John) Allen, Deborah (Roger) Hill, and Charlotte Kay (Scott) Beaver; her dear sisters: Pearl Root, Bessie Miller, Evelyn Whitt, and Mary Betty Gregory; her brother: Charlie Lewis; three grandchildren: Lillie Melissa (Dan) Wood, Amy (Brent) Bennett, and Brandon Beaver; seven great-grandchildren: Dylan Israel; Matthew and Michael Wood; and Hudson, Hadley, Rhys, and Carter Bennett.
Graveside Service is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 11000 Montgomery Road. Cincinnati, OH 45249 Wednesday 12/23/2020 at 10:00 AM. Family asks that you be at the cemetery office by 9:45AM. They will lead you to the grave site. Family also requests that if you attend the service because of COVID-19 please wear a mask.
