OBITUARY -- ORA GRIN
S. W. Gwin, of Sycamore Valley, a brother of Mrs. E. T. Wells, buried his little boy on Saturday, the 19th, in the Neodesha cemetery.
Orie was a bright boy, always busy; was loved by all who knew him. But his little race is over, his little work done and our hearts fill with sorrow for the bereaved onces, while at the same time we rejoice to know that our Father doeth all things well. We bow out heads and say, "Thy will be done." As we meet to pay the last sad tribute to the departed we realize that our honors to them are only useful lessons to the living, and that these occasions should excite our most serious thoughts and more vividly impress the fact of our immortality. The open grave and coffin enclosing the form of our little Orie and the circle of weeping ones so plainly tell us that this is the end of all flesh, and unmistakably point to the earth as the last resting place of our mortal bodies.
We need no marble to remind us that he has lived. The memory of Orie will never die. But, Oh, when the conquered grave shall give up its dead, and immortality shall seize our glorified humanity, then can we sing, "No pain, no grief, no anxious fear disturb the peaceful sleeper here." Many warm hearts deeply sympathize with the stricken family. Services by Rev. I. Bowker.
