MRS. CORA GWIN, of Radical, Montgomery county, died in Independence, where she had been taken for treatment Sunday morning at 8:20 and the body was brought to this place Sunday evening. Mrs. Gwin was the wife of S. W. Gwin, who is a brother of Mrs. E. T. Wells of this city, and the funeral occurred from her home Monday at 1 p.m., conducted by Dr. T. B. Woodard. Interment was made in Neodesha cemetery. Deceased was 44 years old on the day of her burial and leaves four children.

A. L. Wells was called to Independence Saturday night by a telegram announcing the serious illness of his aunt, Mrs. S. W. Gwin, of near Radical City, who was there being treated for dropsy. She died Sunday morning at 9 o'clock and the body was brought here Sunday night, and after services at the residence of E. T. Wells at 11 a.m. Monday conducted by Rev. Dr. Woodard, was buried in the City cemetery. The husband of the deceased is a brother of Mrs. E. T. Wells.
Mr. and Mrs. Gwin lived near Benedict until a few years ago when they sold their farm there and moved onto the Gwin estate two miles north of Radical City. Mrs. Gwin was 44 years old on the day of her death. (Should be day of her burial.) Her maiden name was Orendorff. Mrs. R. E. Orendorff, mother of the deceased, Guy Orendorff, her brother, Lee Prunty, Mrs. B. F. Carter, Lon Prunty, Rafe Prunty and Mrs. F. H. Burnett, all of Benedict, attended the funeral. R. W. Gwin and wife, of Jefferson, Montgomery county, were also here to attend the funeral.
