Obituary of William Neuton Squires

William Neuton Squires was born February 23, 1867, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Will Zeltman, February 12, 1931.

September 17, 1890, he was married to Sarah E. Reisinger. Three children, Ernest, Rose and Etta, were born to this union. When Etta was three weeks old Mrs. Squires died, leaving Mr. Squires with three orphan children. Later Mr. Squires was married to Etta McCurdy. Two children, Roy and Lillie, were born to this union.

For the past sixteen years he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Will Zeltman, and during his last illness she did all that loving hands could do.

He is survived by four children: Ernest Squires, Akeley, Minn.; Mrs. Will Zeltman, Eldora; Roy Squires, Reinbeck, and Mrs. Lillie Hooper, of Grundy Center. Mrs. Etta Albright preceded her father in death just last April. There are fifteen grandchildren and numerous friends who also mourn his death.

Funeral services were conducted from the Ivester church, Rev. D. C. Gnagy, the pastor, in charge. The songs were sung by a chorus of voices. Interment was in the Sheller cemetery.

The family desires to express their sincere thanks for the many acts of kindness, helpfulness and sympathy during his illness and death.
