HENDERSON, Nevada-- Juanita Davis Williams Kossen, 92, died May 3 in Henderson, Nevada.
Born July 10, 1903 in New Harmony, Utah to Reese and Sarah Redd Davis. Married George Berry Williams, June 16, 1925, Salt Lake Temple. He died in 1946. Graduate Dixie College 1924. Lived in Kanarraville, Utah then Henderson since 1943. Married Dirk B. Kossen in 1958. He died 1971. Active in civic, community and church, especially as a pianist. Worked in the secretarial field for 23 years. Juanita possessed many gifts and talents, music, painting, ceramics, stitchery and quilting. She has always exemplified a thirst for knowledge, a zest for life and a love for all mankind.
Survivors: children, Clara Littlefield, Juana Blackburn, Marlow Williams, all of Henderson; Avey Gregerson of Salt Lake; Twila Heit of Calif.; 33 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, 27 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by children: Wetona, Park, Preston, Dallen and Alenna; brothers and sisters, Lowe, Lawrence and Antone Prince, Clara Williams, Vilo Pearce and Fern Klienman; five grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 8, at 10 a.m. in Henderson, Nevada. Viewings Tuesday 5-8 p.m. at Palm Mortuary in Henderson and at the Arrowhead LDS Chapel on Wednesday one hour prior to services. Burial in the Kanarraville Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary, Kanab.
