Bill graduated from Bryan High School, Bryan, Ohio. He later served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He worked for IDG – Boring Smith. Bill enjoyed woodworking, miniature antiques cars, American eagle and mallard duck memorabilia, and was an avid bowler.
He married Mary Jane on July 23, 1966 in Angola, Indiana.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Rose of Angola, Indiana, daughters, Terri (Jeff) Violet of St. Peters, Missouri, and Toni Rose of Auburn, Indiana, and a son, William Rose of Jersey City, New Jersey, step-daughters, Debra (Scott) Reese of Montpelier, Ohio, Cindy Martino of Angola, Indiana, and Penny (Lee) Turner of Pioneer, Ohio, a step-son, Dale (Anne) Knecht of Montpelier, Ohio, and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine and Forrest Becker, and a step-son-in-law, Joe Martino.
Following his wishes cremation will take place. A private family memorial service will be held at a later time.
