Praises were lifted and Prayers answered when, in the presence of her family, God's merciful hand reached down and directed Judi Overturf, 60, to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face on Sunday, (September 16, 2018) at 11:27 a.m. at OSF Saint James Hospital in Pontiac, IL. "We are confident... to be absent from the body and to present with the Lord." II Corinthians 5:8.

Judi was born March 7, 1958, In Kankakee, IL. to Donald and Sheri(Loiselle)Jackson. She attended Eastridge High School and received an Associate’s Degree in Art from Kankakee Community College and a Bachelor's Degree in Art from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL.

Surviving are her Mother, Sheri Jackson; her Husband, (Whom she Married August 18, 2000 in Toluca, IL) Robert Overturf; her three Children, Joshua Bryant of Kankakee; Jill Bryant of Kankakee; and Ashley (Matt) Gill of Madison WI., Three Grandchildren, Arianna, Kingston, and Danielle Bryant; and One Brother, Rick (Mary) Jackson of Aroma Park.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Donald Lee Jackson.

Judi had an avid passion for art (drawing, painting, and even some sculpting) and demonstrated and shared her talents throughout her home on walls and paintings; A former residence in Toluca displays a wall mural; and with the assistance of her mother did an art project on the dining room walls of Asta Care Nursing Home in Toluca. Judi was also an excellent cook/chef and could take ordinary meals and transform them into culinary delights.

Her greatest passion became the love for her Lord and her bible. Personal and family bible studies were routine when she was physically able. She also shared Christ with a friend who was in prison. She demonstrated a loving and compassionate heart for the "down and outers". She opened her home numerous times to both family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:30 Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Calvert – Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, Toluca, with her brother Rick Jackson officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 PM Thursday at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. A celebration of her life will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the memorial home. Memorials may be made to Parkinson’s Foundation, American Lung Association or to the family.
