BUFFALO, Iowa -- Agnes L. Duncan, of Buffalo, Iowa, died Monday, November 28, 2005, at Genesis East Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2005, at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo. Memorials may be made to the Buffalo Ambulance Service or to Calvary Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Agnes was born February 23, 1911, in Columbus City, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Pearl (Brown) Bell. She graduated in 1927 from Columbus Junction High School. Agnes worked during the war at the Rock Island Arsenal and was a loving homemaker. She was united in marriage to R. Carl (Pete) Duncan on January 16, 1929, in Buffalo. He died November 19, 1982. Her memberships included Pythian Sisters 49 of Buffalo, Buffalo VFW Auxiliary, Blue Grass American Legion Auxiliary, Buffalo Senior Citizens, Plus 60 Club and several card clubs. Agnes had a great love for her family and she expressed that love by making quilts that will be treasured gifts to them for always. Those left to honor her memory include her children, Lillian Schnoor, Blue Grass, Marilyn and husband, Ray Farley, Buffalo, Arthur and wife, Barbara Duncan, Blue Grass, and Lyle and wife, Vicki Duncan, Blue Grass; grandchildren, Greg (Rita) Schnoor, Todd (Susan) Farley, Kent (Angi) Farley, Mark (Shari) Duncan, Steve (Myla) Duncan, Chad, Travis, Shawn, and Drew Duncan, Jill (Dana) Esbaum, Karen Duncan, and Gwen (Jim) Schebler; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Agnes' parents, siblings, Ruth Bartling, Pauline Gold, Arthur R. Bell and Marjorie Dierker, and son-in-law, Lauren Schnoor (June 2005) preceded her in death. May God Rest Her Soul!
