Zelma Olavern Corbin, age 89, a resident of Velma, peacefully passed away early Sunday morning, May 6, 2018 in Duncan. A funeral servicewill be held Wednesday, May 9th at 2p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church. Bro. Randy Southerland officiating.
Zelma was born May 31, 1928 im Countyline. Oklahoma to Floyd Ellis and Clemmie (Eason) Ross. She and R.E. Corbin were united in marriage on May 30, 1946 in Marrietta, OK.
Survivors include four children, ten grandchildren, twenty four great and great-great grandchildren.
Zelma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, R.E. Corbin; three children: Glen Dale Corbin, Floella Sue Askew, and Dorris Corbin; also three brothers: Sidney Ross, Elvin Ross, Ronald Ross; and two sisters: Joyce (Aunt Toy) Stockton and Thelma Ross.
