Joyce Hess, a cherished and loving mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones. Graveside service noon on Sunday, March 25 at Palm Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery, Las Vegas, Nev. Joyce was born in Moutrie Coquitt, Ga. on September 22, 1937, to Mary Lena and Lessie May. She met the love of her life, Gene, at a young age and their adventure began. Her career path mirrored his in the radio and advertising industry in Las Vegas. They moved to Dolan Springs, Ariz. near their retirement years, where together they owned and operated a rural post office serving that community. Joyce moved to Fort Worth in 2000. She was a devoted mother to her three daughters, Laura, Teresa and Tina. Spending time with her grandchildren and friends filled her life with so much joy and happiness. Joyce will be sorely missed by her family, but her memory is an eternal blessing to all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Gene Hess; her brothers, Joe May and Luke May; and her sister, Mary Krummel. Survived by daughters, Laura Ladner, her husband, Dale, and their children, Curtis, Casey and Kendall, Teresa Lynn Hess and her son, Michael Gene Hess, and Mary Tina Scott, her husband, George, and their children, Brooke, James and Victoria; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
