Francis King was one of the original founders of the Old Drawyers Church. On May 10, 1711, Francis King, Isaac Vigorue, Hans Hanson, and Andrew Peterson bought one acre from John Peterson for the purpose of building the church. The church was built the same year, in 1711, and the original building was constructed of wood. It was torn down in 1773 and replaced by the present-day brick church.
Francis was an elder of Old Drawyers Church, as listed in 1731 and 1732. His first wife is unknown but may have been a daughter of Leonard Vandegrift. His second wife was Christian Vandegrift, daughter of Leonard Vandegrift and Christina Elsworth.
He is most likely laid to rest in a grave closest to the church and the stone may no longer be there.
