Mrs. Josephine LaBarge, 61, a native of the town of Ellenburg, died Thursday at her home in Tupper Lake. Funeral services were held at St.Alphonsus Church, Tupper Lake.
Mrs. LaBarge, nee Josephine Vevia, born in Ellenburg Depot on Aug 11, 1885, a daughter of Joseph and Lucy (Provo) Vevia. She resided in Tupper Lake for the past 39 years. Her husband, Jerry LaBarge, whom she married in 1909, died in 1937.
Mrs. LaBarge is survived by three sons, Francis, Edward and Leo LaBarge, all of Tupper Lake; one brother, Joseph Vevia of Ellenburg Depot; three sisters, Mrs. Meteldia Derosier of Tupper Lake, Mrs. Thomas Scanlon of Herkimer and Mrs. Henry LaSalle of Plattsburgh.
