Albert M. Galinelli, 72, of 2 Main View Ave., who lived in Vienna, Va. until returning to Warren two months ago because of illness, died Thursday at Miriam Hospital, Providence.
Mr. Galinelli moved from Warren to Virginia in 1939 and was employed there as a shipping clerk at the Richard Corp. He was a World War II Army veteran; a member of Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, St. Elizabeth Seton Assembly of Sterling, Va.; and a member of the Barrington American Legion Post No. 8 and the Elks Lodge in Virginia.
Born in Warren, he was a son of the late Rocco and Annunzita (Andreozzi) Galinelli.
He leaves five brothers, Guido Galinelli and Joseph Galinelli, both of Barrington, John Galinelli and Peter Galinelli, both of Warren and James Galinelli of Providence; five sisters, Madeline Vanderschaaf of Providence, Viola Raposa of Fall River, Mass., Mary Grant of Harrisburg, Pa.; Carmella Gemma of Middletown, Conn., and Margaret Silvia of Nashville, Tenn.
A military funeral will be held Monday at 8 a.m. from the William J. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Warren, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Jean Baptiste Church, Main Street. Burial will be in St. Alexander's Cemetery, Warren.
