Birth name: Meilach Drukarczyk

He was a member of Chelsea H&L just shy of 20 years according to his obituary. He was on the Entertainment Committee when Nyack Fire Dept. hosted the NY State Fireman's Association Convention in 1930. He also represented the Nyack Fire Dept. at the NY State Fireman's Association Convention held in Tonawanda, NY in 1936. His store was located at 102 Main Street in Nyack in 1920. At some point he moved a few stores down to 112 Main Street where he had a small fire in this shop in 1924 which required his fellow firefighters to be called out to extinguish the blaze, which was caused by a stove in the rear of the shop. In 1929 he moved his shop to 4 Park Street. In 1931, his delivery car, which was uninsured, burned in a garage on High Ave. He was known as quite a character to his fellow brothers in Chelsea Hook & Ladder. He liked to fish in his spare time.
