Helen W. Clifton, 91

RALEIGH — Mrs. Helen Warner Clifton, 91, of 615 Spring Forest Road, formerly of Sampson County, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at Laurels of Glenn Forest Nursing Home in Garner.

The funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 4, at Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Randall Lolly and Dr. Richard Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Clifton, born in Thomasvile, was the daughter of the late Vance and Mamie Warner and was the widow of John Oliver Clifton. She was a homemaker and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Wheeler and husband Don of Raleigh; a brother, Walter Warner of Thomasville; a granddaughter, Leigh Anne Fraham and husband Andy of Raleigh; a great-granddaughter, Emma Catherine Fraham.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., the hour prior to the service, on Sunday, March 4, at Piney Grove Baptist Church fellowship hall, 1818 N. McCullen Road, Faison, N.C.
