She was born on Jan. 22, 1893 to
August and Talka Marie Werner.
She was baptized on April 2,1893 and
was confirmed on May 24,1914. Both
events occurred at St. John
Lutheran Church in rural Palmer
(also known as Lizard Church). As a
young girl she worked as a
housemaid in the Palmer and
Pocahontas area. She married Adolf
Rebhuhn on Feb. 18, 1914 at St. John
Lutheran Church in rural Palmer.

They began married life on a farm
northeast of Pocahontas. They had
one son, Paul who was born in
February of 1916. Two years later
they moved to a farm south of
Laurens where August, Raymond
and Robert were born. After some 20
years they moved to a farm near
Havelock for a year and then to a
farm south of Albert City in 1937. At
that time they became members of
St. John Lutheran Church in rural
Albert City and were faithful
members the rest of their lives. In
1957, they retired to Albert City. He
died on May 17, 1975.

She was preceded in death by
her husband Adolf.

Survivors include a sister Lena
of Palmer; four sons Paul of
Aurelia, August of Spencer, Raymond
and his wife Edna of Storm
Lake and Robert and his wife Ruth
of Albert City; 11 grandchildren and
16 great-grandchildren.
