Hazel Arthur Taken By Death
Mrs. Hazel Arthur, 41, died at St. Joseph's Hospital yesterday afternoon at 3:58 p.m. She had been in the hospital since Friday, but the cause of death was not immediately determined.
Mrs. Arthur was the wife of Joshua Arthur, an employee of Potlatch Forests, Inc., and the mother of 12 children.
Mrs. Arthur was born at Lapwai April 21, 1919, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hayes. She lived at Lapwai until moving to Lewiston in 1957.
She and her husband were married at Clarkston July 8, 1935.
Mrs. Arthur also leaves her father, at Warm Springs, Ore.; her children, Benjamin and James, both of Toppenish, and Webster, Helene, Veronica, Marcus, Mary, Patricia, Joann, Elisabeth, Ralph and Virginia, all at Lewiston; four sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Aylor, Mrs. Loretta Antell, Juanita Hayes and Mrs. Orina Taboo, all of Warm Springs; and a brother, Perry Isaac, in the Navy.
The body is at Brower-Wann Funeral Home.
