A Mass for Ninette Salvo Junkin, 85, of Natchez, who died Saturday, February 20, 2010, at her daughter’s residence in LaPlace, La., will be at 10:30 am, Friday at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time Friday at the church.

Mrs. Junkin was born September 2, 1924, in Natchez, the daughter of Emile William Salvo and Georgia Ninette Doughty. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George M. Junkin and one brother, Ronald James Salvo and one sister, Rita Mae Salvo.

Survivors include her sister, Lurie Salvo Ramagos and one brother, Dr. Emile W. Salvo, Jr.; her daughter, Constance Junkin Theard, her sons, George Malcolm, Jr., William Emile, Eric Shaun, Owen Seton, and Lucien Quentin Junkin; 15 grandchildren, Meghan, Austin, Kori and Blaise Theard, Michelle Junkin Whiteside, Courtney, Rebecca, Andrew, Norene, Mary Evalina, Samantha, Timothy, Hannah, Casey and Billy Junkin; one great-grandchild, Tyler Theard.

Pallbearers will be her sons and son-in-law, Kenneth Arthur Theard.
