Mrs. Drinkard, daughter of the late James Thomas and Maggie Banks Martin, was a native of Lincoln County and had lived in Wilkes County most of her life.
She was retired from Royal Manufacturing as a seamstress and was a member of Clifford’s Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include: husband of 65 years, Gerald Drinkard, daughters: Debby D. Reed, and husband, Kenneth of Lincolnton, Dean Sisson, and husband, Mike of Washington, Nancy D. McKellar and husband, Claude of
Washington, seven grandchildren: Kelli R. Ellis, Kenneth Fletcher Reed, Jeri Hucke, Jenny Dove, Julie Driggers, Chris Echols, and Katie McKellar,
9 Great- grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Cemetery, Washington with Revs. Paul Reviere, Donnie Walton and Barry McAvoy officiating.
