SHELBY-Carolyn Buchanan Goforth, age 62, loving wife, mother and grandmother, of 222 Windsor Drive, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, at her home.
A native of Shelby, she was born Feb. 28, 1948, the daughter of the late Harry and Myrtle Buchanan. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death in death by her step father, Bob Hughes.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Goforth; three sons, Sam Goforth and his wife, Julie, Scott Goforth and his wife, Tamara and Craig Goforth and his wife, Holli all of Shelby. She is survived by six grandchildren, Hannah Goforth, Samuel Goforth, Meredith Goforth, Connor Goforth, Gavin Goforth, and Jon Goforth; brother, Bobby Buchanan his wife, Susan of Shelby and her sister, Robyn Gouge husband Jody of Mt. Pleasant S.C.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory
