Anna Abrahamson, 80, of 2424 F Street, Eureka, died in a local hospital Tuesday evening following a lengthy illness. Born June 30, 1870, she was a native of Kvevlaks, Vasa, Finland, and had resided in Samoa and Eureka for over 70 years.
She was a charter member of the Eureka Lodge No. 102 Order of Runeberg.
Survivors include a son, Elmer E. Abrahamson; daughters, Mrs. Hazel Taylor, Vallejo, and Mrs. Violet Paynter, Alameda; sister, Mrs. Edla Abrahamson, Eureka; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Walter F. Abrahamson.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Sander's funeral Home with Rev. John L. Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Myrtle Grove Cemetery, under the auspices of Eureka Lodge No. 102, Order of Runeberg.
Pallbearers will be John Sander, Ernest Johnson, J. A. McArthur, Sr., Alec Wold, Thomas Vincent and Ernest Fenell.
