VIRGLE EUGENE "GENE" EASON, 79, of Duncan, passed away Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006, in his home.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Roberson officiating. Burial will be in Duncan City Cemetery.
Gene was born Nov. 2, 1926, in Lynn County, Texas, to Robert Virgle and Mary Martha Montgomery Eason.
He married Dora Jack Dismuke on Feb. 28, 1948, at Henrietta, Texas. She preceded him in death April 9, 2005.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. Gene worked for Texaco for 37 years.
He and Dora were longtime members of Western Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Sharon Eason, Oklahoma City, and Donna Wilson and her husband Jackie of Elgin; a son, Danny Eason and his wife Sue of Duncan; two sisters, Jessie Adams of Alma, and Margie Madole and her husband Jimmy of Norman; two brothers, Kenneth Eason of Velma, and Robert Eason of Alaska; four grandsons: James Eason, Jason Eason, Justin Wilson and Aaron Wilson; and two great-grandchildren: Jamie Eason and Richard Eason.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Calvin Eason.
Bearers will be Jason Eason, Aaron Wilson, Justin Wilson, Dwayne Eason, K.D. Eason and Calvin Eason. Honorary bearers are members of his Sunday school class.
