Mrs. Wayma Burleson Brown, age 87, of Marion died Saturday, October 5, 2002 at Oak Grove Health Care Center in Rutherfordton.
A native of Buncombe County she was a daughter of the late Harley Burleson and Minnie Bailey Burleson.
She was a member of Cross Memorial Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Her husband Joe B. Brown, Sr. preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Troy T. Brown, Sr. of Marion, Carroll E. Brown and his wife Ina of Swannanoa and Joey Brown of the home; a sister, Betty Burleson Burnette of Swannanoa; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Burial will be in McDowell Memorial Park.
