Obituary

O. Jean Yost,77, Lincoln, died Monday, September 27, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born January 16, 1933 in Madison, Nebraska to Fredrick and Anna (Sunderman) Meisinger.

She grew up on a farm west of Madison. She attended Green Garden Parochial and Madison High School.

After graduation she worked for the County Superintendent of Schools where she met her husband, William L. Yost. They moved to Broomfield, Colorado where she was manager of the Chamber of Commerce until adopting two children. They moved to Lincoln in 1974. She filled out her working years in the bursar��(TM)s office at UNL. After retirement, she worked for Faith Lutheran School as a para-educator. She loved working with students of all ages.

She is survived by husband William L. Yost; son and daughter-in-law: Todd and Shonna Yost, and grandsons: Joshua and Christopher of David City; daughter: Michelle Yost and granddaughter Aubrey Yost of Lincoln; brother: Gerald Meisinger, Omaha; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Robert and Beth Yost, Coleridge, NE; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, brother Delbert Meisinger, sister Elrena Knapp.
