Helen Ada Taft, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was born on April 27, 1920, the daughter of the late Fred and Nettie (Dunning) Weaver. She married Loren D. Taft.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tex and Gail Borden of North Port, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Walter Golden of Corning; grandchildren and their spouses: Christopher and Angie Borden of Federal Way, WA, and Craig and Alisa Borden of Orchard Park, NY; great grandchildren: Genna Borden, Alex Borden, and Emma Borden; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Loren D. Taft; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Gerald Craig; brother and sister-in-law, John (Regina) Weaver; and granddaughter, Linda Borden.
Family and friends are invited to call at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney Street on Saturday, March 14, 2009, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at Nelson Cemetery at a later date.
