Miss Mary C. Brobst, 224 N. 13th St., Allentown, died yesterday afternoon at Allentown Hospital, where she had been a patient since July 2. She was 86. Born in Steinsville, Miss Brobst was the daughter of the late Jonas C. and Diedema (Hermany) Brobst. She was a retired nurse, having been graduated in the Class of 1909 from Philadelphia's Jefferson Hospital. She was a member of St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Mrs. Cora Kern Brobst, a cousin, Mrs. George Sherer, both of Allentown; four nieces, Katherine Shiffert, Norristown; Mrs. George Snyder, Oreland; Mrs. James Snyder, Erdenheim, and Mrs. Dorothy Brobst Partee, Allentown; four nephews, John S. Brobst, Allentown; Ralph Shiffert, Philadelphia; Dr. Harry Brobst, Stillwater, Okla. And Dr. Charles D. Brobst, Aurora, Ill., and two grandnephews. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 1601 Hamilton St., Allentown.
