Was still living in Virginia as a 14 year old in 1870, according to 1870 census.

She was a teacher, and was prominent in Church and social circles.

In 1880, she was living in Arkansas. She was 24 years old and was a teacher.
She lived with the Col. Thomas Bradley Trigg family. Son, Henry Walker is a railroad employee.

She married Henry Walker Trigg in 1885 when she was 29 years old.
They had a son, Henry Walker, the following year, 1886. They had a daughter, Margaret, in 1890.

Rilu was a music teacher, and according to family legend, she gave a few piano lessons to a young Scott Joplin, in exchange for a few chores.

She lived in Texarkana for 40 years, and died in 1921.
