Ruby B. Bennett, 93, Belmont, WV, widow of Truman Leroy Bennett, passed away Sunday, January 25 2015 at her residence. Born on October 12, 1921, in St. Marys, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Rona Bell Barnhart Tice. She was a homemaker and a member of Dewy Avenue Church of Christ. Ruby loved quilting, visiting the Senior Citizens Center/Nutrition, and watching grandkids and great-grandkids play sports. She was a Blue Devil and Mountaineer Fan and enjoyed holding babies and going to church.
She is survived by nine children, Betty Daugherty, Delbert Wayne (Mary) Bennett, Eldora (Bevo) Francis, Denzil (Evelyn) Bennett, James Bennett, Norma (Jim) Stewart, Truman (Brenda) Bennett, Jr., Patty (Steve) Nichols, and Debbie (Tim) Barnhart; 32 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and was a second mom to her sister Vivian’s children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister Vivian Price.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Dewey Avenue Church of Christ with Emanuel Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow in IOOF Cemetery.
