Metter - Mr. Tommy Clyde Crooms, 79, died Saturday at Metter Nursing Home. The Candler Co. native and lifelong resident was a retired farmer and mechanic. He was a member of Cedar Street Baptist Church and the Adult Five Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Crooms and son, Dale Crooms. Survivors: his son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Annie Jean Crooms of Metter; brothers, Hubert Crooms and Herbert Crooms of Metter; sisters, Catherine Meeks and Mattie Pearl Armstrong, both of Metter; grandchildren, Adina Cliett, Sharon Jarrell, Benji Crooms, Brad Crooms, all of Metter, and Brandi Crooms of Bristol, TN; great-grandchildren, Thomas and Brady Cliett, Keagan and Kylie Ann Jarrell, Payton and Brennan Crooms all of Metter.
