Ethel Whorton Treece, 98, of Hazel Green passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 at her residence. She was a member of Huntsville Holiness Church. Mrs. Treece was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Howard Treece; two sons, James Treece and Leo Treece; three grandchildren: Todd Treece, Tina Hyatt and Carter Slone; her parents, Alvie and Ellen Stapler Whorton; four sisters and eight brothers.
She is survived by four daughters: Viola Harris, Marie Hyatt, Bonnie Campbell (Wallace) and Emma Anderson (Gaylon); one son, Allen Treece (Kim); fourteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral will be Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 1:00pm at Huntsville Holiness Church with Rev. Junior Stephens, Rev. Jack Kelly and Bro. Rick Hyatt. Burial will follow at Green Valley Cemetery.
