Mrs. Nellie Bailey Longstreth, wife of Hallie C. Longstreth, of Nemacolin, died Sunday, August 5, aged 38 years, in the Waynesburg Hospital. She was taken ill with influenza and later meningitis developed. Mrs. Longstreth was a daughter Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Bailey and was born near Khedive. She had been a successful school teacher for several years and was re-elected a teacher in the Nemacolin School for the coming term. Beside her husband and mother, she leaves four sisters: Mrs. Andrew McClelland, Miss Josephine Bailey, Mrs. Ruth McMasters and Mrs. John Areford. Mrs. Longstreth was a member of the Carmichaels Presbyterian Church. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon. Interment in Laurel Point Cemetery.
