Nettie Voyles Dies Today At Age Of 70 Years
Mrs. Nettie Voyles, of RFD 1, Mt. Vernon, died at 3:00 o'clock his morning at the Setzekorn Nursing Home. She was 70 years, seven months and one day of age. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Lennie McDonald officiating, and burial will be in Crisel (sic.) cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Voyles was born September 17, 1886, in Hamilton county, the daughter of David and Nancy (Hart) Tolley. She was married to Thomas Voyles, who survives. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Henry Jones and LeRoy Voyles of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Mrs. Wiliam Phelps of Waltonville, and Mrs. Clysta Terry of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Henry and Sam Toley (sic.) of Mt. Vernon; 19 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. One son. William Douglas Jones, preceded her.in death.
