Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 5 to 10 p.m. Monday and 8 to 9:40 a.m. Tuesday. Religious services at Victory Life Temple Church, Denham Springs, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Richard Swearingen. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by two daughters, Patsy LeBlanc and Vera Ann Cabaness, both of Lakeland; three sons, Ray J. Steele, Lakeland, DeLea Edwards Steele, Killian, and Jerry C. Steele, Gonzales; a sister, Claudia Shoemaker, Henderson; two brothers, Revis T. Hammack, Gonzales, and the Rev. Joe Hammack, Baker; 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
