MURRELL, IRMA LEE BURGESS - age 86 of Claxton, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at Parkwest Medical Center. She was a member of Edgemoor Baptist Church. She was retired from Miller's Dept. Store. Preceded in death by: husband, Samuel A. (Buss) Murrell parents, Morgan and Fannie Dalton Burgess, brothers and sisters, Beulah Leffew, Ellen Carter, Mae Moore, Louisa Brennan, Lela Lambert, John Burgess, Charlie (Berry) Burgess. Survivors: nieces and caregivers, Irma Gray and Laura Owens several other nieces and nephews, sister, Joyce York of Powell brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Jean Burgess of Karns. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16 in Stevens Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Mike Petty officiating. Interment at Highland Memorial Park will follow the service. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at N. Broadway.
