Nannie Margaret Joyce Turner, 84, of Patrick Springs, went to sing with the angels on December 24, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Patrick County on December 14, 1929, to the late Abraham Burton Joyce and the late Dovie Atkins Joyce. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Irene Hancock; three brothers, Coy Joyce, Raymond Joyce and Ralph Joyce.
She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Rev. Amos C. Turner; one daughter, Brenda Turner Owens of Martinsville; one son, Maynard Turner and wife, Louise of Patrick Springs; one brother, George E. Joyce of Hopewell; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and son-in-law, Wayne Owens of Martinsville.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 28th from 11a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Pleasant View Baptist Church where the funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. William Wyrick and Rev. Rick Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
