She came to America in the year 1894, going directly to the home of her brother, Frank Cvach.
July 3, 1895, she was united in marriage to John Vostres. Their union was blessed with a daughter, Lillian. They farmed west of Wilber for thirty years and in Kansas for four years. For the last seven years they lived in Wilber where Mrs. Vostrez was well known and highly respected. She was active in the Methodist ladies' aid society for a number of years.
She leaves to mourn her untimely departure, her husband, John Vostrez of Wilber; a daughter, Mrs. Adolph Zlab of Dorchester, a step-daughter, Mrs. Ed. Zajicek of Colorado Springs, Col., two grandchildren Norma Dean Zlab and Clarence Zajicek; one sister, Mrs. Mary Dlouhy of Tobias and one brother, John Cvach in Czechoslovakia, and many other relatives and friends
Her parents, Joseph and Mary Cvach, a brother Frank Cvach and a granddaughter, Rose Zajicek, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held from the Simerda Funeral Chapel in Wilber Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. K.O. Zavadil officiated and the song service was in charge of the ladies' trio. Interment was in the Bohemian National Cemetery west of Wilber.
The large number of relatives and friends who attended the funeral attested the high esteem in which she was held.
