Barbara Nordan Jones was the last of six children born to the late Zack W. and Martha Ratcliff Nordan of the Smithdale Community. She was born November 2, 1932. Barbara died at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon, MS on Thursday, October 29, 2013 with her beloved family at her side.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; by two sisters, Clara Davis and Rosie Allen; and two brothers, Wince Nordan and William Nordan.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Edward C. Jones of Brandon, MS; her sister, Amy N. Dillon; her two sons, Winston E. Jones and his wife, Sandra Lavender Jones of Bentonia, MS and Terry Anglo Jones and his wife Patricia Fortenberry Jones of Flowood, MS; her grandchildren, Winston E. Jones, Jr. , Edward Ramsey, III, Charles Jacob Ramsey, Jesse Zea and Jordan Zea and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins
The family will receive friends at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 5 - 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Primitive Baptist Church, 349 Crosspark Drive, Pearl, MS where Mrs. Jones is a member. Visitation at the Church will be 10 - 11 am Thursday, October 31, 2013 with Services beginning at 11 am. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.
