William Myron Tobey was born on June 10, 1847, in Brownville, New York to Charlotte Otis and William Benjamin Tobey. There were 2 girls and 5 boys born to this union. William was the second of 7 children. A sister, Mary Louisa, died in infancy in 1845.
He married Adaline G Clemons on January 1, 1867, in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, when he was 19. They had two children: daughters Beatrice and Loie.
William was widowed in 1899 and moved from the Outagamie, WI area a few years later. He settled in Milwaukee, WI, living with his daughter Loie (Gergen) and family. He lived in southern Wisconsin until his death in 1923.
Buried in Pine Grove Cemetery: Wife Adaline, brother Spencer, and daughter Loie.
