According to 1850, 1860 & 1870 census, Sarah "Sally" Vance was born about 1809 in VA. On 1 Mar 1885 Sarah Danner age 75 born OH was living in Rooks Co., Kansas with her son Henry W Danner, so she died after that date. She's probably a daughter of William & Mary Vance who are listed in the 1820 census of Twin Twp., Ross Co., OH. They show 3 sons & 3 daughters and are the ONLY Vance family in the area. IGI-12,696 says Sally Vance married Michael Danner 1 Dec 1825 in Gallia Co., OH but logically they may have married in Ross Co., OH where her parents lived. On the IGI record, someone could be confusing Michael with a different Michael III Danner 1779-1830 who's listed in 1820 & 1830 census of Gallia Co., OH. There are NO Vance families found living near this Michael III of Gallia. Sally's husband is listed as Mich. Donor of 1830 Twin Twp., Ross Co., OH, page 256 and her widowed mother Mary Vance is listed next to them. On page 254 of this census is listed Adam Tener who's very likely to be her father-in-law.
