Robin Elaine Brown Gordon of Logansport, Cass County, Indiana died on August 6, 2008 at the Seton Speciality Hospital In Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana due to sepsis and diabetes complications. She was the daughter of the late Howard Edward Townsend and Ruth Maxine Clelland Townsend of Peru, Indiana. She had 9 siblings: Michael James, Jacqueline Elaine, Howard Nathan, Robert Eugene, Thomas Nelson, Felicia Elaine, Jon Warren, Edward Dundee, and stillborn baby son Townsend. Also, close to the family was cousin Ross Hartleroad (who was raised in the Townsend household).
She married Anthony James Brown on April 23, 1977. She had two sons: Nate and Nicholas Brown. She then married Timothy Gordon, March 10, 2006, in Cass County, Indiana. She was a homemaker and enjoyed writing and illustrating children books. She was admired for her singing.
Robin was the very active in all the clubs during her school years, and she was the spark of her family. She was pre-deceased by three siblings: Howard Edward Townsend, Jr. (who died at 5 months old due to pneumonia), Clayton Townsend, who died shortly after birth, and Penny Townsend, who was still born.
Arrangements made by the Hippensteel Funeral Home 822 North 9th Street, Lafayette, Indiana 47904. She was cremated at the Lafayette Crematory in Lafayette Indiana. Her ashes were buried in the plot next to her mother at Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru, Miami County, Indiana. The gravestone is wrong. She is buried where her father's name is inscribed. Her father is buried at the Marion Veteran's Cemetery. Arrangements are in progress to correct the headstone
