Roy William Ratcliff, 78, of Davenport, Iowa, died Saturday, March 29, 1997, at his home. He was born March 31, 1918, in Gowen, Oklahoma. He married Peggy Jackson Allen in 1989 in Davenport, Iowa.

He was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1979. He was a World War II veteran of the Army. He served in the Army for 22 years.

Survivors include: his wife; daughters, Jo Ann Loggins, Morganton, NC; Patricia Ratcliff, Camp Zama, Japan; Susan Ratcliff, Hickory, NC; Velda Kibler, Camanche; and Debra Bianchi, Clinton, IA; a son Bill, Statesville, NC; a step-daughter, Sherry Enderle, Jacksonville, AR; and step-sons Gary Allen and Randy Allen, both of Davenport; and Mark Allen, Martinsburg, W.VA.; a sister, Helen Doshier, McAlester, OK; a brother, Bobby Dean Ratcliff, Boonesville, AR; 10 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
