M. Anderson Bowman, a highly respected citizen of Cass township, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Dell, at Latta Grove in Hares Valley at 2:20 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, June 22. Death was due to uremic poisoning. He had been in poor health for some time.

Anderson Bowman was born in Cass township, a son of Samuel and Caroline (Dell) Bowman, deceased, on May 8, 1861, hence at the time of death he was aged 77 years, 1 month and 14 days. Practically all his life was spent in the vicinity of his birthplace.

He was a consistent member of the United Brethren church at Latta Grove; he was also a member of Washington Camp No. 662, P.O.S. of A. at Latta Grove.

He was united in marriage to Mary Jane McConahy, who preceded him in death a number of years ago.

He is survived by the following children: Mae (Mrs. Henry Davidson, of Jeannette; Maude (Mrs. Lloyd Dell) of Latta Grove, and Carl Bowman, of Jeannette; Mrs. Mary Gill, of Blairsville; Issac Bowman of Mount Union and Laurie Bowman of Latta Grove. Seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.

Prayer services will be held at the home of the daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Dell, on Saturday afternoon, at 1:45, and further services will be held in the Bowman's Chapel church upon arrival of the funeral cortege. Services will be in charge of Rev. J. L. Eminhizer. Interment will be in Bowman's Chapel cemetery. Greene's funeral service.
