Wife of George Jeffrey Aitkenhead (1859-1940). Annie and George were married on September 13, 1883 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Annie was the daughter of Ann Affleck (1831-1873)*.
Annie was the mother of twelve children with George including: Agnes, George, Alexander, Anne, John, Edna, Jean, Hugh and Arthur Aitkenhead.

* Although the marriage record states she was the daughter of Wm Affleck and Ann McKinley, Annie's birth record only gives her mother as Ann Affleck (with no father). In her husbands memoirs, it also says that Annie wasn't baptized, and Ann Affleck (1831-73, obviously the mother on the birth record) was single in the 1871 census with William b1862, Ann b1864 and Andrew b1870. Plus, there are no candidates for Annie's parents listed on the marriage record within 75 miles. George's diary shows that this is obviously the right family.
