Juanita Courtney, 78, died Tuesday at her home in Oklahoma City.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 16, 1999, at Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Kyle Brown officiating, directed by Girdner-Brown Funeral Home of Abilene.
Mrs. Courtney was born in Brady and raised in Stamford. She was a cook, homemaker, and was a Baptist.
Survivors include three daughters, Auardy Barker of Norman, Okla., Charlotte Oualline of Alvarado, and Ima Jean Fisher of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one stepdaughter, Dorthy Robinson of Keene; five sons, Eddie Vanzandt of Alvarado, Robert Vanzandt of Vancouver, Wash., Jimmy Courtney of Abilene, Raymond Courtney of Pottersville, Mo., and Roy Courtney of Cedar Hill; one sister, Cora Stinnett of Clyde; two brothers, James Edwards Jr. and Edwin Edwards, both of Cottonwood; 20 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
