Yvonne Johnson 87, a resident of Waxahachie, TX died December 26, 2012. She was born August 28, 1925 in Wallace, South Dakota and grew up in Hayti, South Dakota. She married Quinton C. Johnson in 1944 and resided in Hayti, South Dakota until 1962 when they moved to Dallas, Texas. While in Dallas, she worked as a bookkeeper for Cullum and Company in the 1960's. Later, she worked in the accounting department at Texas Instruments and retired after 18 years of service. She was preceded in death by parents Christian and Oletta Markrud, brother Arnold Markrud, two sisters, Gladys Rindahl and Myrtle Campbell. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald (Carol) Johnson, her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Erika (Jarratt) Ripley, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Service of Celebration will be 10:00AM, Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at Sardis United Methodist Church 645 Sardis Rd. Midlothian, TX 76065 with final rites at DFW National Cemetery.
