Prior to that date there had been advertisements in the newspapers for relatives to move their deceased elsewhere.
While presumably there are still today some graves left at the original site, the stones are all long gone and the cemetery was replaced by city's newer buildings and parking lots.
According to the (St. Louis Genealogical Society cemetery list, this cemetery was located at Washington and Biddle. The old churches (Presbyterian, Methodist, and Catholic) all had cemeteries in the downtown area. This church cemetery was located in the west of the city. Coffins have been found at various times during construction in St. Louis. Some findings were reported during construction of cellars in that area from 18th Street to several blocks west, bounded on the south by Washington and on the north by Biddle (the site of the Old Presbyterian Cemetery). Following the opening of Bellefontaine, many of the old graves were moved there but some where missed and left behind. Bellafontaine Cemetery opened in 1849 due to the St. Louis cemeteries being filled up due to the cholera epidemic. In the 1990s tombstones from the graves of one of those churches were found during construction of a building at the northwest corner of Jefferson and Martin Luther King Drive.
The exact spot between Biddle and Washington is not specified well enough to provide exact GPS coordinates, but early newspaper articles mention that the rear of the Presbyterian Cemetery was near the corner stone of St. Bridget's Church built at the corner Carr and Twenty-Fifth streets. Another article mentions that the cemetery is between Twenty-Fourth Street and Pratte Avenue.
