Add Photos"This family cemetery is located approximately 750 meters north of the intersection of Lake and Cherry Tree Roads and 20 meters east of Cherry Tree Road in the controlled
access danger area in Training Area 25. It is overgrown but easily identifiable measuring approximately 20 by 20 meters (Plates 6 and 7). It has 28 grave depressions, 9 of which are marked with fieldstones, and is surrounded by a barbed wire fence in poor condition (Table 4). It is marked as "relocated" in Tract E-338 owned by Mary E. Bridgman in 1941 (1944 Property Map). The graves were relocated to Butterwood Church in 1941-42 by Hamner-Bevell Funeral Home. Godburn lists 26 individuals as having been moved:
T.W. Bridgeman, T.W. Thompson, W.P. Honeycutt, Mrs. George Bridgeman, George Bridgeman (to Lakeview Cemetery), Mrs. George Bridgeman, Mrs. E.B. Bridgeman, E.B. Bridgeman and 18 unidentified individuals (Godburn 1977: Appendix G-5)."
