Chronister Cemetery is in the field of the Old Chronister farm just south of Key,s Cherokee County, Oklahoma. The Cherokee Indians granted to land to Mr Chronister who also had a post office on his property from 1919-1929. Member's of the Cole family had worked with Mr Chronister on this land. David's son lived at Chronister when David died and he was buried on the farm with an unmarked head stone. When his wife Martha Ann Hensley Cole died in 1928 the Grand daughter of the farmer that owned the property knew about this and allow her to be buried there as well. There are only 5 graves there.
