Bio

Born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand since 1975.
It has only been in the last 4 months of 2023 that I have started to research my family tree that lead me to Find A Grave (FAG) .
From what I have found so a far via Ancestry is my heritage is English/ Croatian(Yugoslavia)/Scottish/Irish/Kiwi.
Surnames: Hamlett, Scott, Pearce, Pergomet, Lalič, Vitlič, Bušelić, Marinović, Barry, Colman, Hall, Neill, Laird, Eagle, Vile, Herbert, Foster, O'Brien.. the list goes on.

I now pay more attention to cemeteries in my area, clean up the ones that need it, then photograph the headstone so that history can be preserved and families can see where their ancestors are.
There are many that say "just throw my ashes into the wind" but from what I have researched is the future generations do what to pay their respects to their ancestors ... so please just leave a piece of you in a place where they can visit .

If I have taken a picture of someone in your family that I am the manager for, I'm happy to transfer on the memorial page - I do my best to link husbands to wives, children to parents, I just ask that if you hold the page to my relatives, that you transfer these to me when requested.
I do request that if I have taken a picture of a headstone or plot, please don't crop it during the transcribe function and upload it as yours as I have seen that happen lately. I do keep copies out side of FAG so if you need the image please just ask.
