I am the Director of the historic Jewish cemetery, owned by Congregation Emanu-El, in Victoria BC. This is the oldest non-Indigenous cemetery in the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and was created in what was then the Colony of Vancouver Island prior to the creation of the province.
